Apple MacBook Pro 2026 will deliver a brighter OLED display, higher contrast ratio, and vibrant colors while using less power. Apple also plans a major design overhaul, making this the thinnest MacBook Pro ever. These upgrades aim to redefine the premium laptop experience for professionals and creators.
A senior Omdia display analyst revealed that Apple will replace the traditional webcam notch with an iPhone-style Dynamic Island. This feature will show useful elements like timers, notifications, and system alerts, creating a more interactive experience.
The upcoming MacBook Pro will also feature the highly anticipated M6 and M6 Pro chipsets. These chips promise faster performance and better efficiency than current-generation processors. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple initially planned to launch redesigned Macs this year but delayed the release due to OLED supply constraints.
Meanwhile, Apple plans to introduce an M5-powered MacBook in October. This model will not feature a new design but will include the latest M5 series chips built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm technology for improved performance and energy efficiency.
Apple is also working on OLED iPads. A report from Korean media outlet Dealsite suggests that Chinese display manufacturer BOE is aggressively pursuing a role in Apple’s iPad OLED supply chain by developing eighth-generation OLED panels.
